TRAIL PLANNING, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION

Penn Trails L.L.C. provides trails assessments, planning, design, construction, and remediation services for both new and existing trail systems.

Penn Trails owner, Larry Knutson, was certifed in 2009 through the same NCTC Trails Management program as utlized for land managers in the US Forest Service, National Park Service, US Fish & Wildlife Service and US Bureau dscn1698 of Land Management. Penn Trails incorporates the same core approach of Trail Management Objectives with our own clients. Depending upon our client's specific trail design and trail management needs, we utilize the US Forest Service's TRACS (Trail Assessment & Condition Survey) process and/or the Universal Trail Assessment (UTAP) method to help arrive at the best solutions. Our orientation to "sustainable standards" and "accessible standards" are the same as those developed and advocated by federal land management agencies.
